Effective 1 October 2026. What subscribing gets you, and the safety disclaimer that comes with it.
Freebore is made and sold by Datum Works LLC. These terms are between you and Datum Works LLC.
Freebore is a ballistics and load-development tool: pressure, velocity and trajectory predictions built from a physics model fitted to published manufacturer and laboratory data, plus tools for tracking your own rifles, loads, range sessions and measured groups.
Freebore is a paid subscription: $5.99 a month or $54 a year in the US (other countries see their local App Store or Google Play price), with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You can subscribe in any of three places, and any one unlocks the same Freebore account on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android phone and freebore.app.
In the iPhone or iPad app, through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. If you start with the free trial, the first charge comes when the trial ends. The subscription renews automatically each month or year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (or of the trial). Manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Apple handles this billing, so refunds for App Store charges are requested from Apple (support.apple.com/HT204084). We can't refund an App Store charge ourselves.
In the Android app, through Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google account through Google Play when you confirm the purchase. If you start with the free trial, the first charge comes when the trial ends; cancel before the trial ends to avoid it. The subscription renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. Manage or cancel it in Google Play, at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. When you cancel, you keep access for the time you've already paid for. Google handles this billing, so ask Google for a refund of a Google Play charge (support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637), or email us and we can refund it through Google Play.
On freebore.app, through Stripe. Your card is collected when you start the trial via Stripe Checkout, and the first payment is taken automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until canceled. Cancel any time from Manage subscription on the Account page. It opens Stripe's own portal, where you can also update your card, switch between monthly and yearly, and see past receipts.
If a trial ends without converting, or a subscription lapses (a renewal fails and isn't fixed), the app goes READ-ONLY: everything you've saved stays visible and nothing is deleted, but you can't add or change anything until you subscribe again.
Refunds for website subscriptions: if you're charged and think it's a mistake, email support@freebore.app within 14 days of the charge and we'll refund it. App Store charges are refunded by Apple (see above). Google Play charges: see above.
Your rifles, loads, sessions, notebook entries and measured groups are yours. Export a copy or delete everything from the Account page at any time — a lapsed or canceled subscription never deletes anything on its own. Deleting your account data HARD-deletes the server copy (not a tombstone) and clears this device's local copy; any other device you've signed in on keeps its own local copy until it next syncs, because the app works offline and can't reach it directly.
Deleting your ACCOUNT, from the same page, goes further: it does all of the above, removes your sign-in, and if you subscribed on freebore.app it cancels that subscription on the spot and deletes the card Stripe held for it, so a deleted account is never charged again by us. It can't be undone. Stripe, the payment processor, keeps its own record of past charges; Freebore never held your card to begin with.
If you subscribed through the App Store, deleting your account can't stop Apple's billing. Only you can, in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Before you delete, the delete screen says so and, in the app, gives you a Manage in App Store button. Cancel there first. If you delete without canceling, the account is still deleted, and Apple keeps charging until you cancel with Apple.
If you subscribed through Google Play, deleting your account can't stop Google's billing. Only you can, in Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Cancel there first. If you delete without canceling, the account is still deleted, and Google keeps charging until you cancel with Google. Can't sign in to delete? See freebore.app/delete-account.
Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch app. These terms cover the subscription, your data and the safety disclaimer.
Freebore's numbers — pressure, velocity, trajectory, wind hold — are ESTIMATES from a physics model and published data. They are not a pressure gauge reading, a chronograph, or a substitute for either. Always start from a published, current load-manual or manufacturer starting charge and work UP while watching for pressure signs; never load to a predicted maximum without verifying it on your own equipment. You are solely responsible for every round you assemble and fire. Freebore is a planning aid, not a safety authority, and accepts no liability for the outcome of a load you develop using it.
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Freebore after that means you accept the change; if you don't, cancel from the Account page and export your data first.
